Woven PatchesPosted by Patch Petursky in Woven Patches, Custom Patches |

Here's a photo of a couple of custom woven patches.

We are often asked about woven patches and labels, and with good reason. For 20 years or so, embroidery has been the standard in patches for uniforms. Embroidery can be beautiful, and if a patch maker is careful and diligent, fabulous patches can result. For proof, see our Hall Of Fame patches!
The downfall in our industry, and many others, is the tendency to do too much with too little. Patch makers are limited by thread thickness, the minimum size of the stitches, and filling the gaps between letters and other graphic elements with little links called 'bridge stitches'. So if your logo or patch design contains very small details, they will either be eliminated or distorted in the finished patch.
The process of weaving patches may be the answer. Woven patches can provide
- Accurate and precise detail
- Cleaner and smaller lettering
- Close to photographic realism
- A cost effective way get better quality when required
